Addressing Insider Threat

We can examine the following challenges that you may be concerned about in your organization:

  • How can we address the insider threat with employees, and contractors that maintain manufacturing equipment?
  • How do I address insider threats in overseas facilities?
  • How can I shape my Diversity & Inclusion program around the requirements of an Insider Threat program?

The 2023 Verizon Data Breach Investigation Report states that the human element still makes up the overwhelming majority of cyber security incidents and is a factor in 74% of total breaches. Insider threat is a pivotal challenge. Even as enterprises continue to safeguard critical infrastructure and increase training on cybersecurity protocols, one of the most common ways to exploit human nature is social engineering. This refers to manipulating an organization’s sensitive information through tactics like phishing, where a hacker convinces the user to click on a malicious link or attachment.

There are some challenges that we must face, and what better way to begin that discussion than with an executive expert with more than 20 years of experience. There are options. Where do we start the thinking process?  We will work with management to find the right balance of insider risk, budget, and organizational programs to satisfy company goals. This program may need to be adjusted as time goes forward, and we will make adjustments with you to manage this critical interface between personnel and security risk.
